Representatives from TBY and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) gathered on 10 December 2018 at MIDA's offices in Kuala Lumpur to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the collaboration for the publishing project of The Business Year: Malaysia 2019.
The MoU was signed by Sivasuriyamoorthy Sundara Raja, Executive Director Investment Promotion of MIDA, and Joseph van Rooij, TBY's Project Director, while Zalina Zainol, MIDA's Director of Corporate Communication, and Carmen Fleurke, TBY Country Manager for Malaysia, witnessed the signing ceremony. Under the MoU, MIDA will help TBY in identifying important developments and players to include in its research.
“TBY has built a track-record for itself with the success of their previous publications on Malaysia, and we are excited to embark together on the 2019 publication project", Mr. Sivasuriyamoorthy Sundara Raja commented on the partnership.
Van Rooij added: “This publication comes at a defining moment for Malaysia as the world is watching how Malaysia's new government deals with the challenges faced while aiming to further build an economic growth story. The Business Year: Malaysia 2019 provides a great opportunity for Malaysia to showcase to the international business community the versatility of its economy as it embraces the Fourth Industrial Revolution".

The Business Year: Malaysia 2019 will feature over 100 face-to-face interviews with the country's top public and private sector executives and will be launched in mid-2019. The publication will be available in print and online.
